Citizens Alliance To Uphold Special Education (CAUSE) is the Parent Training Information Center for the State of Michigan. CAUSE is a statewide non-profit coalition providing free information, referral, support, advocacy, and workshops to parents and professionals working with children with disabilities and special needs.
MISSION STATEMENT CAUSE shall provide a collaborative forum where consumers and providers can actively support an individualized Free Appropriate Public Education (FAPE) that enables all students to maximize their options in the world community. Our priority is to protect and advocate for the educational rights of students with disabilities. |

To Families in Michigan:
In the upcoming weeks, you may receive a survey from Wayne State University about your child’s and your experiences with special education at your local school. Families receive a survey on a rotating basis once every three years. Wayne State University is working with the Michigan Department of Education to help improve special education services for children and families across Michigan. You will be an important part of this process by completing the survey. The information will be used for Federal, State and Local reporting and for system improvement throughout Michigan. All information is confidential. |
